Operations Manager

Maxton Shipping Inc. is a global freight forwarder and logistics provider operating across the United States, Europe, Asia, and 62 countries worldwide. We manage end-to-end freight movements across ocean, air, road, warehousing, and customs clearance, supporting shippers of all sizes, from small importers to large, high-volume global supply chains. Our operations combine hands-on logistics execution with strong carrier partnerships, inland transport capabilities, and compliance-driven processes to ensure reliable delivery across complex trade lanes.

Currently, we are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day freight operations across ocean, air, drayage, and inland logistics. This role is responsible for coordinating operational teams, optimizing workflows, ensuring service quality and compliance, and acting as the escalation point for complex shipments while working closely with sales, partners, and senior management.

What You Will Do:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day ocean freight operations across multiple trade lanes.
• Optimize operational workflows through data-driven analysis and automation within the Skypace platform;
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, carrier requirements, and company standards;
• Collaborate with pricing and sales teams to align operational capacity with business growth;
• Resolve escalations and exceptions, maintaining proactive communication with customers and carriers;
• Monitor KPIs related to service performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

You’re a Fit If:

• You have 5+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, logistics operations, or supply chain management;
• You have prior experience in a leadership or team management role;
• You possess strong knowledge of international documentation, Incoterms, and carrier processes;
• You’re skilled in problem-solving, communication, and operational optimization;
• You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-driven logistics environment;
• You’re familiar with TMS platforms, digital freight systems, and shipment tracking tools.
